  • Overview

    Reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing, the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness. This position is responsible for creating and executing in conjunction with sales a clear Pragmatic and Grass Roots Focused Marketing Program.

    Responsibilities

    • Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that assist the company attain sales targets
    • Focus on grass root Field marketing Programs
    • In conjunction with Sales team develop a set of grass root programs that will drive increase in sales and awareness
    • Work closely with field sales team to develop an annual advertising and promotional budget and plan to support transaction growth consistent with the business plan.  
    • Serve as the caretaker to the Company’s brand. Determine with the executive team if different versions of the plan should be used to market to different countries and or products.
    • Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness in order to measure the effectiveness of the marketing department and implement improvements as required to identify, interpret, and capitalize on marketing trends.
    • Research and analyze economic trends, buying habits and the demographic characteristics of consumers, their tastes and preferences for company products and those of competitors.
    • Work across several departments to build the company’s business plan. This plan requires an analysis of current status, future growth targets by product and an execution plan.
    • Track the ROI on all advertising and promotional efforts to maximize return on each dollar invested.
    • Track pertinent data relative to the Industry, key competitors.  Record market share shifts and track the Company’s own Market Share versus targets by market and state.

    Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs.

    Qualifications

    • 10 years’ experience in a marketing role, with 7 years’ experience in progressive Marketing roles at the senior level.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or Business, MBA preferred.
    • A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives.
    • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
    • Experience with a CRM software preferred. 
    • Proven Merchandising and Grass Roots Marketing
    • Multicultural Experience is preferred, specifically in Mexico, Guatemala, and Latin America.
    • Bilingual Skills a MUST: English and Spanish with solid written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
