    POSITION SUMMARY

    The accounting associate is responsible for providing accounting, financial, analytical, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Administrative responsibilities include project management and bookkeeping assignments in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliation. Under management’s direction, interact with other departments of the company, banking network, vendors and agents.

    Responsibilities

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.
    • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Web Agent, and Card Direct daily reconciliation).
    • Accounts Payable and Wires Payable reconciliation. Process invoices in accounting system and payments.
    • Assist management with the monthly financial closing.
    • Assist with the subsidiaries financial closing process.
    • Provide assistance on financial audits.
    • Coordinate projects assigned by management.
    • Compile reports requested by management. Excel spreadsheets.
    • Work with the Financial Support Team on day to day operations.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration. 4+ years of experience.
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Calendar.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Capacity to demonstrate proficient problem solving skills.
    • Ability to set priorities and perform multiple assignments.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and awareness is essential.
    • Project management.
    • Excellent oral and written communication (English/Spanish) skills to interface with internal and external customers.

Must have the ability to travel to Branch locations on a monthly basis to review quality control.

    SCHEDULE PARAMETERS

    Primary employment, which is defined as the daytime hours of Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week, 9:00am to 6:00pm, with occasional work starting at 5:00am, as determined by the needs of the Company, while abiding by the rules of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
